Leo Cunningham was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA above a family owned Irish Pub. Like his father before him, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry and deployed with the 22 MEU in 2000. Upon returning from that deployment he moved on the 2nd Recon BN and worked as a military instructor on a Mobile Training Team to foreign military in support of the Global War on Terror.
Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to California and perused his passion for storytelling by directing plays, shooting short films and studying acting. He was accepted to the prestigious USC: School of Cinematic Arts and graduated with a degree in Film and Television Production.
Currently, he is an Independent filmmaker and has produced and directed television commercials, online web content and specialize in script writing and directing actors.

Leo Cunningham's USC student film, shot on a low budget with a 16mm camera, "Welcome Home" went on to be accepted into numerous film festivals to include the GI Film Festival, was honorably mentioned at the Accolade Film Competition and was nominated for best new director at the Playhouse West Film Festival.
